Fuel Additives
I have a 2004 Excursion 6.0 PSD with 16K miles on it now. The engine is stock except for the addition of gauges which I had added last week. The truck runs great and I can get close to 21 mpg if I keep the RPMs in the 1700 range. Camping season begins for us in a couple of weeks and we will be towing a rather large and heavy travel trailer off and on all summer long.
My question is since it's running great right now should I leave it alone or is there a fuel additive I should be using to keep it running great.

Use Stanadyne or Powerservice in the gray bottle. It helps my MPG's about 2 or more. Not to mention it's cheap insurance for your injectors. It will also help keep the EGR cleaner, by some reports. Do a search for fuel additives--it's been widely discussed here.
