now that I'm retiring, I'm digging up old projects to finish with my son...many of these parts I have,t touched in 25-30, and I didn't take notes......... so any help would be appretiated...I have an alumiun big block intake, appears to be a low rise type, no FORD PN.........just a small FORD in script writing in the middle right side between the center bolt hole and planum.........and a block with PN C3AE 6015-E

Judging by the PN on the block, it could be a 1963 block, but not sure. I also have an aluminum FE intake manifold; I think it's a medium riser. It has the FOMOCO logo between the #2 and #3 runners. It also has a PN of C5AE9425N.
Your'e goning to have a great time finishing up the old projects with your son. Just have fun.
Sorry missed your block numbers and it's a 63 390 block with the C3AE-E casting number. Some of the early aluminum intakes had no number. Just the Ford logo and the firing order.
SB I looked for your intake number and came up empty. I'll dig further. I think I remember you asking a while ago about it.....not sure. Sorry if I forgot about it. G.

I think you did respond or someone did awhile back on my manifold. I think someone said that the Edelbrock Performer was a better choice because of the technlogy differences of then and now; but it would be a good manifold for the all Ford purist.
thanks for the help guys, the manifold is on our 352 in a 66 F250, I had bought it in the 70's for $25..but was never sure what motor it came on originaly, it will go on the 390 we are building now to replace the 352 which has 140,000 on it and two cylinders are down to 90lbs so the rings are probaly going...........cant complain this motor has hauled everything for all these years with nothing but a water, and fuel pump change
