Usually you torque in two steps, first 60 lb/ft, then 90 lb/ft. That holds true for most Ford vehicles until torque to yield bolts came into the picture. Those are usually torqued to 25-30 lb/ft in the first step, then 50 lb/ft plus 90-180 degrees of rotation. Older head bolts can be reused numerous times provided there are no signs of damage or fatigue, TTY bolts can be reused maybe once, although they should be replaced after use.
Well, it's been a couple of years so I guess I won't bother with the final torque.
I drove it over the hill into the San Fernando Valley and it held together. But now I'm thinking about changing the gear oil and the oil in the rear end and I guess the one on the front axel since it is four-wheel drive.
