the rear bumper on my 96 150 4x4 is slanted the drivers side is up all the way to the tail-gate and the other looks maybe an inch or so lower. I have taken the bolts loose and try to adjust it but no luck, everything looks straight, the frame and bumper brackets. Anyone have any ideas? Let me hear 'em!
I have a similar problem with my 96 F150.
I think my bumper is bent. I was going to try loosening the bolts like you did but my other idea was to put my handyman jack out on the low corner and jack slowly until it goes back where it should be.
I'm sure there is probably a more precise method though.
i tried that and it didn't work for me it just went right back to where it was when i let off the pressure, but don't let that temp you from trying it though because it might work for you.
no, all of the bed bolts are there, i figured out the problem, the passenger side bracket from the frame to the bumper is bent, i took a jack and put pressure on it thhen heated it with a torch waited until it cooled and let it down and it still didn't work so i guess i will leave it for now and get a new bracket later. Know how much one cost?
