Just to clarify with my buddies, International is the manufacturer of the 7.3 right? Someone was trying to tell me CAT made them.

OH BTW Cat does have a small V8 diesel ( 3208 ) and did use them in the F600 and up trucks ' but not the PUs. I drove a Ford Louisville back in the '70s that had the 3208 and that truck could knock down 11 to 12 mpg running 65 , loaded !

maybe your freind is confused.... lots of rumors of a CAT diesel in the PSD's of the future... maybe he misunderstood what someone was talking about...
