Well I just ordered a Daystar Level 2.5" kit for my F-150 XLT Scab 4x4.
I assume this will bring my truck level. Other than a front end alignment, is there anything else I should know? Will 2.5" be enough or too much?

Bull dog I think from what I have read you will be happy. The 2 1/2" kit will get you level or extremely close so close it will be unnoticable. A front end alignment will be all you need and I guess by your question will it be enough I am assuming you mean to level it out. congratulations and enjoy. I think i am going to try and run the 3" skyjacker that replaces the factory strut and coil with a longer shock and new coil and adds a leaf to the rear.
I had the Daystar install two weeks ago and the truck sits perfectly level. I am a carpenter so I checked it with a level.
I think you will be pleased also.
Other option is the EZ Lift 2" spacers -- they went in without much difficultly.
Thanks mneblett for considering another brand. I was hoping someone could explain the difference between a 2" and a 2½" leveling kit; like which one is closer to being level and do I really want my truck level.
You need the 2.5 inch leveling kit, I have the Daystart 2.5 inch kit. If you put bigger tires on your truck that is when you notice the difference. I can't see 2 iches making the truck level. I have no problems with the daystar kit, I am runnig 305/70R17 tires, and it is definatley level, I checked it in my friends shop with a tape meaure, it makes a big difference. The only time it suck is when I have my sled in the back, the front ends sits a little higher, its no big deal, its better then have the front sitting stupid low the rest of the time.
I agree with RobinBC. I have the same exact setup tires included and I am completely satisfied. Yes, if you load the rear heavily the front will nose up some. Personally I dont do that much hauling or towing. If I did I would probably install heavier duty shocks or and additional leaf to the rear.
I too hsve a daystar on my Scab Flare, make sure you check to make sure its level. At first mine was not level. But, with some minor changes i fixed it.
