running boards

I have a set of fiberglass running boards that I took off my 92 ext cab , want to know if they fit 92 thru 96 but do they also fit 87 thru 91 ? The sheet metal on the earlier trucks looks alot alike.

the bed panels and doors are of similar design. I'd bet on it fitting no problem.

I haven't noticed any differences besides the curve in the hood and some tailgate/bumper changes.
