Is there going to be a H-D SuperCrew? The brochure I got at the Dallas Autoshow only shows a SuperCab and there was only a SuperCab on display. Looks great!
I should have spelled out Harley-Davidson instead of H-D. I think the Harley-Davidson F-150 is only going to be offered in the SuperCab, not SuperCrew. I hope I'm wrong because most buyers seem to want the SuperCrew and Ford needs every sale they can get.
It doesn't make sense to me why Ford would limit the configurations available if the parts are already available. For example, Reg and SCabs are available with an 8' bed, but only with the Heavy Duty Payload package on the SCab, and only up to the XLT trim level. I guess they don't want to eat into F-250-350 territory, but how about an F-150 SuperCrew with the heavy duty package, long bed options, all with Lariat trim and 4X4. The longer frames, the various length beds, and all the bits and pieces already exist but maybe it gets too complicated and expensive to offer so many variations.

You saod it yourself. Because then you have no need for the 250. Just like back in 99 when they overlaped the 150 baised 250LD and the 250SD. Why make two things that compete.
I came close to a 150 with the 7700 package. My only beef it the fugly steel rims, even on the XLT. The 7 lug (STUPID) bolt pattern makes it impossible to find aftermarket wheels also.
One more beef. Notice that Rcabs and Screw front doors are a good 6" shorter then Scab doors?
I like Scab doors best because the beam is not where your elbow needs to sit on the window frame.
The things you realise when you have a RCab and Scab.

I have news for you. The F150 HD is effectively the F250 LD.
In the year 2000 (after 1999), FMC, in an absolutely BRILLIANT marketing move, renamed the F250 LD "non superduty", the F150 "7700 GVWR package". It was the same truck as the F250 LD, with F150 labels and a little red "7700" decal on the tailgate. The tradition carries on today in the "F150 HD".
That way, instead of saying you had the "light duty F250", you can boast to all your beer buddies, football junkies, lawnmower toting, Home Depot huge bathtub improvement types, that you had the BIGGEST BADDEST F150 around.
The F150 HD even uses the same 10.25" Visteon rear end that the 86-97 F250 used.
Every manufacturer does that this kind of "relabeling stuff". Ford is no exception.
