Can you taste the difference?
but i go out of my way to buy farmer's eggs. they let their chickens run around and feed them grain. i find factory eggs taste like fish heads but she says she doesn't notice a difference.
1 Medium lime
1 Smalll Handfull Cilantro (Chinese parsley) to taste
1/2 medium white onion (Vidalia or 1015 is best)
1-3 fresh Jalepeno peppers (de-veined) depending on taste and pepper heat
5 medium Tomatos
1 level teaspoon salt
In a food processor add juice of the lime, cilantro, pepper(s) and onion. Chop to desired consistancy. Add in tomatos, salt and pulse chop again to desired consistancy. (I like mine chopped till tomatos are around 3/8 chunks or slightly smaller. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let stand 1 hour (if you can keep everyone out of it for that long) before serving to let flavors mingle and soften.
Serve with tortilla style chips.

Aside from a few brand name preferences I usually go with whatever is the cheapest or on sale.
pork and beans have to be Libbys in tomato sauce.
I generally buy fresh veggies, second choice would be frozen and if I do buy frozen it's usually Green Giant.
I usually buy Imperial margerine, but I do a fair bit of baking and always use butter for baking. Takes too long to get butter in the right state to put on a sandwich and leaving it out spoils it before I would use it. If they made soft butter that wasn't $4.00/lb I would buy it.
Can't say I actually like real maple syrup on pancakes; I make my own. heat a cup of water in a pot and melt brown sugar in it, let cool. takes around 3 cups of sugar if I racall.
Never had tuna in oil.
Premium Plus whole wheat soda crackers for soup and bread crumbs.
Store brand ice cream, they make some quite decent stuff.
I used to drink coke, switched to pepsi, and sprite over 7up. 7up always tasted like pepper to me.
Oh yeah, on the soup, I like tomato and cream of mushroom soup but I won't eat Campbells, That stuff is not soup. I do like the cream of cheddar and scotch broth soups from campbells though.

Then there's the small matter of the grocery budget. Three teens at home, one going to college. Ca ching! I buy milk from whoever's got the coupon deal going that week. Canned and frozen brands are on sale, or not in our pantry. I'm a real mooch- but somebodies gotta pay for this stuff, so if it isn't on sale, it's not in the grocery cart.
Ditto everything except, we now only have a 9 yr. old and a 13 (almost 14) yr. old at home. 2 finished college last May 20th.

And the milk. Whole milk only for me. (COLD!!) 2% and skim milk is like a quart of water with a spoonful of milk tossed in. Ain't gonna do it. Ain't gonna do it.
Here's a suggestion to spice up anything. "Old Bay" crab seasoning. I put it on everything. Salad. Pizza. Popcorn. Steak. Tomato Soup.
Fantastic!!
My kids look at me like I'm crazy. Then they tried it. I'm not so crazy, after all.
(Now if I can convince them to try it on PB&J!!) Ha!

Not enough hours in the day. Sometime between now and bedtime I'm still going to crunch some Wall St numbers and look at a chart or two.

I keep a supply of it at the office (sssh!)- 1% here at home.

McCormick's Montreal Steak or Chicken seasoning- great stuff. Costco carries it. I've got to find that Old Bay somewhere and try it.
