302 performance

Hey,
I have a 1988 f-150 4x4 lifted 9" on 38"s i was wondering what i can do to the 302 to give it some added performance and keep it emissions legal

Edelbrock Performer will increase torque in the 0-5,500 RPM range.

what gear ratio are you running . you should be at least in the 4.88-5.13 ratio with that size tire . do you actually wheel that or is it a pavement queen? also being efi and limited by speed density your best bet would be to drop in a 460 or a 351w and lightly mod that. but gears are probably your problem

And, of course, the standards...K&N air filter, headers, free-flowing exhaust, tune-up, maybe a distributor re-curve. Course, you could also getcha one of them aftermarket hopped up EFI intakes, too. FYI, Mustang shorty headers work, too, and those come factory on 5.0 Mustangs.
