I've got a question on my 90 f-150 XLT x-cab 2x4 302EFI automatic with OD. Will this make any difference in performance? I saw a Holley performance ignition mod for 59.95 in the Summit Nov/Dec catalog.
I have a 87' 5.0 i put the accel TFI mod. on mine and it starts and runs better, and i also belive it to be better quality than the replacement moduals from the local parts stores, they are suposed to give you a loger spark duration, the biggest difference would be to replace your coil and install a MSD ignition, which i'll be doing to mine when the new motor goes in. Hope this helps DW
well i already had a k-n filter and new exhaust, but i put the TFI mod and fuel pres. regulator on at the same time say its hard to say which one did what but, overal its little more responsive and runs smoother, it not that it make just gobs more power, it just runs better. Hope that makes sense, another thing is , it had gotton to the point of being hard to start, especialy when cold, the motor wold spin and spin before it would fire-up, but after the i put the TFI mod. on, it now starts on the second spin even when cold.
