need under dash hot lead
hi all. i have a '01 expy and i have spent 2 days wiring up my hella 500 auxiliary lamps. i've done everything right with solder, shrink wrap, corrugated insulation and took a lot of time to route everything up and out of the way.
the install has gone fine until now. i am having trouble with the wiring at the switch. i have one lead to the switch coming off the relay and the other i'm not sure which wire i want to splice it into.
the switch has two posts, does it matter which one gets which wire? won't it just be reverse polarity to the switch like a household light switch that is off in the up position?
also, the other wire from the switch gets routed to a lead that is hot when the ignition is turned on. THIS IS MY PROBLEM. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A GOOD WIRE TO SPLICE INTO THE SWITCH?
i did the old way of installing these lights... i didn't splice any wires into the headlights or parking lights, i bypassed all that and am running a relay and a new switch under the dash.
