Front suspension

Hello all this is my first post so I hope it goes well. I have a 2000 X Limited 4x4 with the PSD. It is my wifes' daily driver. I am replacing the shocks with Rancho RSX's. I was noticing that there is only about 2 inches of play before you hit the stops. I don't want to lift the vehicle because of my wife, so my question is can I trim the stops down to create more play. Hope someone can give me some good advice or some alternatives.

Thanks all

If you have 2" then your X is already lifted. Most stock Xs have less than an inch.

I have heard of guys triming the bump stops before with good luck. I just went and bought the SD bump stops to gain some travel. Look at the Thread named "Report..."X" bumpstops replaced w/SD stops..." in the Excursion section. It should be about half way down the first page. Sorry but I don't know how to put a link into these posts.
