Gauge Questions

Hello.
I just got a set of mechanical gauges for my 88 F150 351W. Will disconnecting the factory temp. and oil pressure gauges do anything to the PCM? I would like to install both factory and mechanical, can they just be tee'd? Will using a Tee affect the accuracy of the readings?
How do I remove the oil pressure sending unit, it looks too round to use a socket on?
Thanks much!

Gauge Questions

I just did the same with my '82. The oil pressure sensor has a nut welded to the bottom that you should be able to access with an open ended wrench. I built a tee with NPT fittings from my local NAPA dealer. For the temp sending unit, I used another port on the intake manifold, but you could also use NPT fittings to build a tee for the temp.

I would love to use another port, I just could not see one. Where is it?
Thanks a bunch!

Gauge Questions

My 302 has at least 2 sending units for temp. The one that has one wire (on the driver side of intake) is just for the gauge. PCM's usually have a 2-3 wire sensor, one supply, one ground, one signal. The one wire sould be able to be removed with no problem. The oil psi gauge shouldn't have any effect on the pcm.
