Transmission troubles

I need to find out how to make a '79 352 from a passenger car (with auto) fit my 1986 F-150 which has an in-line 6 w/3 speed. I'd like to keep the standard transmission but the six 's bell housing won't match up to the v8 block. Any ideas????

Your 352 is a "FE" series engine. 352, 360, 390, and 427. the bell housing you have will fit 300-302-351W. The 351w may be a cheaper retro than the FE, You would however have to get an oil filter relocate kit. there is no hole in your cross member to match the Winsor motor.

Thanks for the info and the advice, but I've already got the 352 and I need to find a way to make it work, like maybe a bellhousing adapter or switching to a '79 stick shift bellhousing. Are either of these possible or practical???
