94 F-150, 351w, e4od that will not start ....ahhhhh!!! It has spark but no fuel. I have checked all the relays, fuel shut-off and fuses. When the ignition is turned on there is no noise coming from the fuel pumps (dual tanks). And it seems there is no power to the them. I tested the power to the fuel shut-off and when the key is turned on there is power to it for about 2-3 seconds then nothing. What else would suddenly cause this? Someone told me a crank sensor? Does anyone else have an opinion? The last thing I need is to take this to a dealer to have them diagnose it..$$$$$. TIA
You dont have a crank sensor so dont worry about that . This just happened , Both pumps are dead ? Its highly unlikely both pumps are dead . Are you sure the Inertia Switch hasnt been tripped ? Some of those things are very sensitive . Ive tripped mine just bumping the tires on a parking lot curb .Check that the Inertia Switch reset button isnt popped up .

I have checked the inertia switch ...even tapped it to set it off and reset it. I have only checked the rear tank for power (the front is a little more difficult to reach). When the ignition is turned on the relays can be heard clicking but the injectors are not pressuring up (nor are the pumps whining, front or back). I have tried pressing the fuel valve ontop of the intake and there is 0 pressure.
did you check and make sure you tank selctor switch is working properly? about 2 years ago my truck wouldn't start because it wasnt getting any fuel, the problem was the tank selctor switch.

Have you tried spaying starting fluid in the throttles. I found mine was doing something similar, found the throttle position sensor was bad. Once fluid was sprayed, the truck started fine. but once I cut it off and it sat for 15 or 20 minutes would not start until the next day.
naturally i would open up the relay box located on the front drivers side under thr hood and pull out the fuel pump relay and jumper the posistions where the normally open contact would be.then i would try starting it. if you cant start it then you have something shorted to the gas tanks or a lost ground.
Just to keep all that helped out updated ..it ended up being the tank selector switch. The Ford guys said it isnt very often that the switches fail completely ..usually if you tap them or wiggle them they will cut in and out, well not mine. Best part is I only owe the price of the switch and some lunch and beers to a couple Ford techs.
