My 302 currently has duels cut off after the oem style muffler, it also has the shorty style headers. I am contiplating upgrading to 2 1/4 inch pipe and then also which muffler to use Im currently torn between the hooker areo chamber and flowmaster and the only problem I have with flowmater is that everyone and their sister runs em now any adviceon performance and or any other issues
the exhaust shops which have done work for me carry magnaflow mufflers. i like the way they sound and i will continue to use them because i agree with you...lots of people run flowmasters. my mustang has flowmasters but they were installed by the previous owner. the 2 1/4 inch pipe should work well if you are going to run dual exhaust and i prefer to pay someone to install custom x-pipes for my exhaust systems. cheers, garsten
I prefer to be alittle bit on the noisy side, deep and powerfull but not too much I dont want to be all noise and nothing to show, and I was considering an h-pipe thinkihg it might a little more cost effectivethan an x-pipe, but as anyone ever tried the hooker mufflers
you've heard of burning out a set of glaspacks to get them louder? this is a different method of achieving the same result. it doesnt take glasspacks long to rust out and this method speeds up that process, i dont recommend it but what ever works for ya!
