Front end squeak squeak

I have a 98 F150 4x4 and I have a nerve splitting squeak from the front. I have isolated it to the front right hub assembly. This appears to be a non servicealble item. I have just recently replaced the shocks also. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks.

i would almost guarantee you have a dry ball joint, upper or lower or possibly tie rod end. The factory ones don't have grease zerks, so if yours does then they have been replaced. if so, a good grease job might just fix it. My wives '97 g marquis was doing this , very annoying, finally isolated it to the drivers side tie rod end. my .02 worth....paul

i meant to mention that the upper ball joint is only replaceable as an assembly, thanks to ford, the whole upper control arm that is. (if yours is factory), also the bottom is replacable, see the thread on the first page of this forum. i did one side last weekend, 2 wheel drive , the lower bj was basically the same procedure, except theres no axle. (2001 f150) it had lots of play for 66k miles. One more lower bj and i'll have a complete moog front end! and i can actually do a grease job! By the way, welcome to the forum!! paul
