torture????? torture torture torture? i think torture is hooking up a 15K trailer to one of these trucks, they arent built for it. BUT a top speed run, well any vehicle can be built for that.......god job PSD 6.0L 4X4
Not built for 15K? Thats exactly what they are built for.
Great pics, thats insane man!! Those kinda EGT's being made is crazy, hopefully you didnt leave it at that for too long....and is that pre-turbo, or after?

It was where it was in the pictures for 30-45 seconds (didn't exactly have out a stop watch ). It remained above the 1500 mark for a total of about 2 and half minutes, by means of guestimation...
truck does shake kinda bad at those speeds,i have seen about 160 mph on the dyno
With some REAL big injectors, we might be able to milk it to that point...problem right now is getting fuel above 4200 rpm's; with stock nozzles and injector barrels there just isn't any left past those speeds.
As for shaking- I haven't had a problem with shaking, but ANY imperfect balancing of the driveshaft, brake rotors, hubs, wheels, tires, ect. will become blatantly obvious at the speeds in question. My main problem so far is an obnoxious amount of wind noise past 145 as air begins to force its way through the door seals. Also, the passenger side tow mirror has this bad habit of folding itself up every once in a while at "higher than normal" velocities, so I have to fold them up- else it does this-

I should have used a bigger number such as 20Ks or 25Ks, but i do know that my
04 CC DRW LB 4x4 is only rated at 12.5. The newer 05s go up to 19 or so, but 15 is technically over the limit on many trucks, just not as much as 20 or 25 haha.
Those are some crazy EGT's LOL. Did you have your water on matt? I assume yes. I can't believe you didn't burn something up for running 1500 plus for over 2 minutes

I have an 05 CC SRW LB 4x4 on my farm and my dad and I put an 11,000 lbs tractor on a trailor that weighs about 6,000 and pulled it just fine. It would still brake just fine and in the way of power it did great and it is still completely stock.
BTW this truck is worked a lot, we have had the total gross weight over 20,000 lbs numerous times. and it also has almost 19,000 miles on it already!!
I hear ya big hoss. I scaled one time as the load combined with the weight of the trailer being 28,800. WOW that was heavy
it sure is!! i cant imagine what it would be like with a 1ton!! while i was waiting to load friday, i was talkin to a guy that had one of those super trailers with 13 axles. he said he scaled 210,000!!!!!!
