Oil pump?

i have a 97 f-150 5.4L 4x4.I was wondering where the oil pump is located?And if its in the oil pan is it easy to drop the oil pan?

The oil pump is bolted to the block at the front of the crankshaft. To access it you have to remove the timing cover and timing chains. It's a pretty major job
