Thought everyone would like to know **** has towing mirror extensions now for the 04-05 power mirrors (PN# 11801 & 2)...guess they have been out for 2 months now. They fit good and you can still see the turnsignal under the mirror. There is no picture on this site but it confirms the part number. http://www.rpminnovations.com/ford_towing.htm
My local RV shop stocked them, $33 per mirror with 10% off coupon. I like them better than the ***** I had for my 00 because I can slide the mirror on, then slide in the wedge and tighten the adjustment. The 00's had to have the wedge installed and they were difficult to get on and off and marred the mirror housing. I will try to take some pics and post them.
Their website indicates that the **** custom mirror will not fit the F150 XLT. Called and s/w a representative. Explained that I have a power mirror (can adjust position of the mirror glass itself from inside the vehicle, NOT the new power mirror that the 2005 King Ranch offers). I don't have the direction signal in the mirror. He contacted **** and they advise that this mirror (part no. 11801/11802) will not fit the F150 in my case.
Also, looked at Cabela's website, they carry the **** custom mirrors but their site indicates that the **** will not fit manual mirrors.
Help!
Has anyone ordered these who has a F150 with plain side mirrors (no built in turn signal).
I have the 2004 XLT Supercab w/power mirrors and no turn signal, and have the **** mirrors. They fit great. It doesn't matter if you have the turn signal or not, they fit all 2004/2005 F-150's.
