The remote keyless entry system is controlled by the vsm (vehicle security module) I think this is what you are talking about ford may have changed terms. Anyway on the reguler cab it is behind the Left rear quarter trim panel. On super crew and super cab models it is behind the rear seat backrest. the backrest is a pain to remove. Also the module has to programed if you replace it. Not sure why you what to access it. If you have the super cab let me know and i will try to describe how to remove the rear seat its kinda tricky if you havn't done it before.
