I about to begin painting my 1969 F100. The paint code on the identification plate is "2". The shop manual shows this as " 3071-A Light Ivy Yellow". I contacted my local paint store and ask if they had data to mix this color in DuPont's Centari. They say that this is not a "good number". Any comments, help, or suggestions?

I don't have my DuPont books at home so I'm not sure if that code is a good one or not. But in any event, it is not the color for '2' in 1969.

You can try auto color library. It is all ppg codes but it show the original chip books and you can cross referance from there.
