98 F150 4.6 4x4. I was looking at it and by the looks of it all i need to do to remove the oil pan is drop the front Diff and the one cross member. Is it that easy or will there be any problems.
Reason I need to do this is because stupid me I did not put the original oil dipstick tube in when I did the engine swap and now I need to get the old one out but its siezed in there. Does any one have any tricks how to remove the tube i have just about wrecked it by trying to clamp on to it and twisted and pulling it wont move. So unless anyone has any ideas im stuck with dropping the pan and banging it out. The way it is I dont have a clue how much oil is in there I put 5.5 litres in and it dont show on the stick.
