To me it sounds like the brakes are squealing, when i take off and stop, when i apply the brakes it stops. When i'm running down the highway and pull up beside the barrier, I can hear it echo off the barrier. I replaced the rotors and pads back in january, so they are fairly new. The only thing different is i tried those semi-titanium pads, said they had longer life, so I was like, sounds good and bought them. I'm wondering if that is my problem, bc i have never had it with any other pads. when i turn the wheel sharp, it goes away, but as i turn to that point it gets worse and worse. I have no different feel when braking. I haven't had a chance to get up and look, but will be this weekend. Wondering if ya'll had any ideas as to what it is causing this if it isn't just the pads.
is their a way to fix that other than replacing the caliper, i compressed it all the way on install, and it was fine for a couple months and now over the past few weeks, the left front brakes have squealed, and the right has just started.
i had done that the first time that i did a brake job, well, actually, i let a friend do that side, i did it right on my side, had to go back behind him and fix it. i know i tightened it down right bc i even went back and checked it, realized i left a part out in the process too, glad i noticed there wasn't a spacer, lol, but i fixed that, tightened it down, and went on my way, checked it a few days later to make sure it was right, it was, I noticed that the calipers piston is starting to wear out cosmetically, i don't know if it is mechanically wearing out to the point it's sticking like said above, which it could be sticking, sounds like that could be the reason, is there a way to fix that without taking the caliper apart or replacing it completely, i'm pulling the wheels tomorrow to look at it, since i have some time to do it and will have the space to do it, i'll let you know what i see when i get a chance, prolly be sunday before i can post again.
