Old Gas

Hello,
I have a 93 f-150 with a front tank full of gas that is more than a year old, the fuel pump broke, are there any reccomendations for handling and disposing of the gas when I replace the fuel pump?

Any neighbors you don't particularly care for with easily accessible lawns?

Naw, in all seriousness, I'm sure just about any side garage will take it off your hands and maybe even give you a couple bucks for it.

Not sure about the laws where you're from, but here there are laws requiring garages to take hazardous fluids from you.

Welcome to FTE!

With the high price of gas these days, I'd just siphon it off in 1/4 tank increments into another vehicle (or the rear tank)and then fill that vehicle up the rest of the way with fresh gas.

Since it's a full tank, I wouldn't be too concerned about the gas being bad vs if it was a 1/4 tank.

You could also use it in your lawn equipment, but that could take awhile.

Check out http://www.batterystuff.com/categori...6&f=fuel#PRI-G - their PRI-G is supposed to restore old gasoline.
