An Idea
Fomoko, I have an idea for your '53 Mercury truck. You know how the Fords got the front emblem while the Mercury trucks just got the letters on the hood. What if you put one of these on the front?
These were used on the 60's Ford COEs. It would take some modification but I think it would look neat.

Some pos(previous owners) filled all the orginal holes in at the front of the hood. Only the side Mercury emblems are still on the truck. It is a 56 M100 but I do have a 53 M250 that is fairly restorable. Some day?

I am funny that way, not into pain. I do have an unmolested stock Mercury hood missing the correct trim hidden away but for now will go chromeless.
