Heater Blower Question?
Hi everyone. For some reason no matter where you put the selector (floor,vent,mix,defrost) the air only blows out of the vents. I have done a search and tried to use the information I found to fix it but haven't had much luck so far. All I am trying to do is get air to come out of the defrost. I pulled the stereo out and watched the vacuum actuator (sp?) and it moves everytime I move the selector rod so I don't think vacuum is the problem

I know some of the late model trucks have a blend door issue (as you noticed by the threads) and yours sounds similiar to it but I didn't think that was an issue with your year. IT's also possible the actuator you are looking is a different one. I would expect the blend door to be behind the glove box.
