I hate to play completely helpless female here, but if the shoe fits...
We have this 1969 Ford 250 Pick Up. We bought it from my father in law, who got it from the original owner. I paid $3000 for it and was told that it had 49,000 original miles. I finally got the title from my mother in law and it says that it had 98,000 miles on it when they bought it back in the 80's.
All this being said... how the heck does a person go about selling such a vehicle? My husband is about as unmechanic as you can get and is as clueless as I am.
How do I find out what its worth? When I look up the value online it says its worth like $5000. Now, who in their right mind would pay that for such a truck? Its been stored and has minimal rust and it doesn't look like a junker or anything. I just don't even know where to start. I now have the title... I know that was the first step.
I would so appreciate ANY help at all I could get.
It depends on condition and features. If it was a super or crew cab 4x4 F-250, it could be worth that easily. If it is a reg cab 2x4, all it is worth is probably $3,000, at least around my area in GA. One HUGE bonus is the title, if I was buying a truck that would make it much more valuable and put it to the top of my shopping list.
