Fuel Injector Cleaning
I have a '95 F150 4x4 with ~90K miles on it. I periodically put some Slick 50 fuel injector cleaner in, but I was wondering if I should do a more thorough cleaning by pulling the injectors and possibly even the intake unit (TBI?)
Anybody have any recommondations? Any help would be appreciated.

Does your truck run Ok ? One thing to consider is over use of commercial fuel injector cleaning products . Once a yr is adequate , anymore often & those products will leave a residue on your plugs . Plus your engine as Deposit Resistant Injectors . Taking them out to clean , IMHO , would be a waste of time . I beleive most all fuel has sufficient cleaning agents .

No, my truck doesn't seem to run poorly, but poorly functioning injectors would gradually get worse, and the change would be to subtle to notice. I drive almost exclusively in town, so carbon and other build up might be greater, especially at 90K miles.
I'll do some checking to see if the '95 injectors are self-cleaning as well.

Fuel Injector Cleaning
Well , I have always found fuel injectors very reliable . As long as you keep the rest of the maintenance items in check and take care of your truck I dont think you ll have to worry about the injectors causing you a problem .
