Spool or locker?

I am building a 92 Bronco and im using a 9" rear end. I am going to be using it for the most part offroad, but i am going to drive it some times on the road and i dont know if i should use a Detroit Locker or a spool. Is it worth the $300 more for the locker and is a spooled rear end that bad to have on the road? The tires im runing are 35x12.50 Wrangler MT/R's. This is my first truck i have built so i could use some help.
Thanks

Spools are dangerous on the road, it will handle spooky. Hard on axles, bearings, tires, etc.

A friend of mine has a 90 bronco with 37s and a 9" and he had a minispool first, but hated it so much that he went to a detroit. His opinion is that spools are the worst idea ever for a street driven vehicle. I just bought a locker, and toyed with welding my spiders, but he strongly advised against it.

Agreed - I have a mini spool in the rear of my OFF-ROAD ONLY Bronco - love it.. but it doesn't like the pavement or hard packed where the rear can't slip... especially since the Bronco has a short wheel base..

For a strictly off road rig.. I like my spool in the back.. now I have 3 wheel drive
