WOW! That's a really short wheelbase. Are you going to be towing a 5th wheel with it? If not, I hope you don't find it too twitchy to drive or so top heavy it wants to roll over. Don't forget pics!

how did you make your cuts? did you step the cut for strength or did you cut straight from top to bottom?

AXRACER they did make 110" wheel base COE. They would have a short driveshaft.

110" is a LOT longer than Tomoto's 58"! Even if he actually means between the outer diameter of the tires that may add another 30" for 88" that's still REALLY short. Even with a COE cab it sounds like the rear wheels will be right behind the cab?

I thought he shortened it 58". He says 1948 COE with a 6 foot bed in the first post.

I don't intend to be mean but a 58" wheel base sounds like an "Outhouse on Castors"
That will be one wild and whooly ride.

If he shortened it by 58" how long is the stock wheelbase on a COE? Even shortening a limo's wheelbase 58" would make it pretty short...

PS: there's a small pic of a custom COE pickup in this month's issue of Rod and Custom.

They came in 110", 134" and 158". He probally has the 134" wheel base because you can just fit an 8 foot box on the 110" wheelbase. He would have about a 76" wheel base.

From the center of the front wheel on a COE to the rear of the Cab it is 49.94 inches.
From the Center of the rear wheel to the front of the bed of an F1 with the 61/2 ft bed is 39.74 inches
That makes 87.66"
An Outhouse on Castors.

Good luck with it, 87" is shorter than an old VW beetle.

I hope that truck is lowered to the ground with wide tires so it does not tip over like a Suzuki Samari.
