I was just wondering if all you people are just readers or maybe have a complete computer system except for the keyboard. The reason I say this is because A LOT of the threads in this forum get read but not replied to.
Is there a reason? I would like more people to interact but it doesn't seem to happen.
For example: The "Not Just Blond Jokes" thread currently has 4 replies (by Dealford and myself only) but 46 views. That particular thread is a GREAT opportunity for some fun.
So come on out people, don't be shy, we won't bite...hard!
I agree with you and would like there to be more chit chat, let's hope as time goes by it will pick-up (pardon the pun) . One of the problems is that even with high speed this site is very very slow and quite often doesn't work, so what will happen is you come on to read and post and get fed up with the slow times so you just give up. This is one great site but it really does need to be turbo charged. On another note check out my new 79 lariot very nice and a great price to boot. The fellow I bought it from was super, wanted to make sure I new all the problems with the truck before I bought it. Have a look in my gallery I think you'll agree not that many problems.
That's a nice truck...keep it away from the salty roads!
As far as site speed goes if you sign up for ClubFTE you get priority access to the forums. It is much faster and there are also NO ads! You also get access to the members only forum. Well worth it for the $16 U.S. it costs. And if you sign-up for 3 years you get a free FTE t-shirt! Go to www.clubfte.com or go to your USER CP then down to subscriptions.
Good point - Forums work better when folks interact. I am trying to get more interactive - I have been away for a while.....still have my truck - if anyone wants to see it go to: http://home.cogeco.ca/~alamore1/TRUCK/TRUCK.html
maybe we should start dealing with our truck issues here before going to the main site. if soultions cant be found here we could do our research on the main site and post ques & answers here.
i agree we should try to get more thread traffic in this chapter.
being ontarians is what seperates us from everyone else.
evey time i log in i come to this forum first, but am sad to see that not much new happens here................. lets fix that
I'll start us off. Has anyone tried that new RUST BULLET paint advertised on the FTE website? I read their website(RUST BULLETs) and they say their product is better and cheaper than POR15, any thoughts on this claim? I have used POR15 and found it to be OK but not great.

Well, posting Truck Tech questions in the Chapter is not really encouraged. It is better left for the tech forums.
For example, if I had a problem with my 85 F150 not shifting properly I would get a lot better response in the 80-86 F-Series forum or the transmission forum.
BUT, if I knew what the problem was with my truck but I needed help swapping out the transmission I could maybe come here and make a post about how I would be willing to pay someone on here to help me do it it if they had time.
Another example would be that I need a bumper for my truck. I am not going to make a post in the 80-86 forum until I make one here first. It would be better if I could find one locally. (Both examples above ARE examples, I don't need help swapping out my tranny or I don't need a bumper).
Do you see what I mean? Also, specific truck tech questions will probably get moved to the respective forum anyways.
But, we DEFINETLY need more chit chat in this forum and I already think that this thread has helped! Good job guys!
There is a dull roar starting...can we keep it a little quieter in here... <img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_1_15.gif' border=0></a>
