I've got a 1994 F-150 300-6 with 170,000 on it. For about a year now, i've had an off/on problem that has gotten worse. I've got a constant check engine light, and i've done a code check but I can't seem to narrow down the problem. I'll go to start the truck, both when hot and cold, and it will start, run rough, then stall. Sometimes it will not start at all. When this happens, if i turn the ignition off to "on" and back several times to push more fuel in, it will start. Once started, it has no problems and runs smooth. It also has smelly exhaust, which I think is a seperate problem related to the catylitc converter being bad. I changed to oxygen sensor once when it had approximately 110,000 on it and also changed the throttle intake gasket as well.
