Minimum Pad Thickness
97 Explorer...can anyone confirm the minimum brake pad thickness (i.e. time for new brakes). Mine are down to about 1/4" but I can't find a spec anywhere...I appreciate it.

Been a long while since I did a safety inspection. In Pa. that determines the min. thickness. If I remeber correctly it is 2/32 bonded or 1/32 over the rivet. Think I would not go below an 1/8 unless you like to gamble on cutting drums or rotors. I would do it sooner based on my plans (long trip or whatever).
