GT-40 Head Recognition

Any of you know how to id GT-40 cast iron heads? Looking to buy a truck that has them but wanted to double check.

GT-40 Head Recognition

Three raised lines cast into a boss on the end of the head, about on center and perpendicular to the mounting face of the head.

GT-40 Head Recognition

The Oct. issue of Hot Rod mag. has a great article on the GT-40p head found in some Explorers. Don't know what year but I'd check the mag. out, definitely. Article was geared toward 5.0 upgrades, don't know if you want to much power in a truck though.
