Hello all. I've got a long list of things to do to my truck this summer and wanted to get some info from you good folks in regards to some of them.
I need a new water pump and vacuum pump and was wondering if I can get them from International or do I need to go through Ford or NAPA or whomever?
If I use synthetic gear lube, do I still need the friction modifier in the rear for the limited slip? Can you use synthetic hypoid gear oil for the limited slip, or is hypoid just for transaxles (like on 4wheelers and Kawasaki Mules)? Also, how can I find out the recommended viscosity for the front and rear (all that's listed in the manual is a Ford part number for the fluid)?
ive been getting parts from powerstrokeshop.com (gotta cut and paste link) i run amsoil synthetic extreme 75-90w in my truck. i havent used the friction modifier havent had is squeel or chatter on me. and it says its not neccesary. but they have a friction modifier if the limited slip does have a problem with it.
