After reading the post on feul tank selector valve it reminded me of a problem with my 91 f150.If I fill both tanks up and just run off of the front tank,and then fill the front tank and check the mileage it shows that iam getting awesome mileage,but then flip the switch to the rear tank and you will have noticed it is showing less than the level that it was when you filled it up last week even though you did not run off of it. it appears that my truck is sucking gas from the back tank while it is running on the front tank. What is the problem?

Thats a fairly common problem , The fuel selector valve I beleive is the problem . Fuel from the rear tank ends up getting pumped to the front tank . If you look thru the archives here you will see lots of people have the same problem
