2.9L to 4.0L questions

2.9L to 4.0L questions
I just need simple answers to this 2.9L to 4.0L swap question. Will the 4.0L ohv motor bolt in to 2.9L A4LD transmission? Is it an easy or hard swap? The truck is an '90 Ranger XLT 4x4 with the 2.9L V6. I planned on buying a donor 4.0L Explorer 4x4 for the swap.

It will bolt on, but the transmissions are built to different specs. It'll work for a while though. There's one transmission shop around here that rebuilds 'em all back to 2.9L specs, even the 4.0L ones. That's what my Explorer is running, and it seems to work fine.
Having never done the swap, I cant tell if it's easy or hard.
