Does it need to be vehicle specific, like under a seat, of can it be more of a generic box?
it can be generic also if someone knows of two 10's that will fit into my old box that have a RMS of 450-500 and are under 100 dollars would be great too!
This is the company site for Mitek which owns MTX, xtant, Streetwires, and others. xtant is considered high end, a step above MTX, Pioneer, etc. Not ultra high end, but high end nonetheless. This particular sub is not their best, but it fits what you need. And, it's a steal@$35. Two of these would handle 500 watts RMS, and with the dual 4 ohm voice coils, a pair of them could be wired in series/parallel to 4 ohms, which is what you need with your amp bridged.
I was also wondering I bought a package deal from The Car Stereo http://www.thecarstereo.com/product/...duct=SASZ02107 these subs clip with the amp thats included before I turn up the volume 3/4 the way I was also wondering maybe I need to wear them in and they will not clip as soon what can I do to wear them in
I think clipping only gets worse.. don't know for a fact though. Why do you only want loudness and not quality? From my experience with things, if you just want loudness and not quality, your bass is going to sound somewhat hollow.

Subs don't clip, amps clip. Are you sure what you are hearing is clipping? Clipping the signal to your speakers is caused by driving your amp beyond its capabilities. Have you properly adjusted the gain on the amp?
I guess it could be the amp is underrated my amp is bridge mono 400 RMS and the subs are 500 RMS each I think so when i turn up my gain 3/4 and turn my volume up 3/4 then my amp clips I think a little red button on my amp comes on everytime this occurs so is it the amp or the subs??
you need to turn your gain down...gain is NOT a volume adjustment..or a "power" ****. it is ONLY to be used to match the amp input signal to the head units output signal, too high and you'll clip the crap outta your signal..too low and you won't get full use from your amplifier.
the easiest way to do this by ear..is to turn your gain all the way down, and your volume to 3/4. turn off all processing...set everything to flat or OFF setting. and gradually turn the gain up until you can hear it distorting..then back off it a bit.
What are the specs on the subs now and I can give you a pretty good idea of where to set them, also what head unit have you got? I do my own installs and also know alot of installers and guys who compete. I have a 10" Polk MOMO 300 RMS that is hooked to a Kenwood 800 Max (300 RMS bridged @ 4 ohm) and have the crossover at 80Hz, gain cranked, deck is a premier DEH-P350 with its crossover also set at 80Hz and the SW out level is at -2, can go to full with no distortion at all. Give me the specs for the subs and I might be able to help you out. And yes ALWAYS break any speaker in. Any good shop will tell you that. Most are 12 hours free air or 24-36 hrs. in the box. Just find a bass test thats at the sub's lowest possible frequency for mine it is 24Hz. and run that through it steady at a level that is just high enough to get a bit of movement. Are you running dual 4ohm subs bridged on that amp? I might just have to recommend a mono amp that can handle a 2ohm load with 500 RMS and you should be good.
