auto vs manual service
I took my truck in the the dealer this week for 60K mile service. The service guide says to change manual transmission oil. The dealer charged me $129 for automatic transmission service per invoice. Needless to say, I'm not happy. I ncluded an LOF but they forgot the L. Should have just done that part myself anyways. Thanks.

I find the manual trans are hard to get fluid so I use a long piece of hose and fill them from the engine bay. A nice feature with the manual is it has a drain plug so the fluid change should be all but a 1/2 worth of work. Take your time and maybe a hour job, adding some time for clean up.
I have heard of auto flush jobs running into the few hundred dollar range. That would hurt my pocket for sure.
