I will be attacing flexible brake hoses to my calipers tomorrow; they will exit towards front. Any thoughts out there on allowing for wheel travel when steering? I plan on drilling through frame rail to mount hoses, then transition to brake lines.
Tip - I'm doing the same thing right now. I was told to get a hose made up which is 2" longer than the original. Then when you install it, twist the line once or twice and install it. At least that's what they do on street rods. I'm using the steel braided line with mine.
I got my lines from a place in North Hollywood, CA VP fittings. The custom make brake lines, fittings, just about everything you can think of. As far as turn radius, it shouldn't matter as long as you have enough room from the frame to the banjo connection on the caliper. I've never had a problem with a wheel or tire hitting the flex line. Hope this helps.
I bought my braided line parts froma a local speed shop. They stock all pieces to make up whatever you want. I bought the banjo fittings, the line comes is different length. And for the fiiitngs that go through the frame, I used a tee on the driver side and a "L" for the passengers.
