I bought a black one from Tractor Supply that sets on the bed rails on my Super Crew, but I'm pretty sure they had the ones that set flat in the bed also. Mine was jsut over $200 and was made by Delta. Good luck!

Why is it that a black diamond plate tool box costs more than a "shiny" tool box?Couldn't you just buy a "shiny" tool box and a can of black spray paint and paint it yourself? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

i picked up a delta a while back at shucks for 100 dollars almoston the dot if i remember right. I bought it because of the shortness so i could still stuff my motorcycle or atv in the back and get the gate closed all the way, so that i could still pull a trailer at the same time without buggering up my tailgate on the touge jack of a trailer. might be somethign to consider if you have toys...

what about the longgevity of the black finish.... How do they hold up to scratches? Weather and such... thanks

Mine is holding up real well, probably would retain it's shine better if I would polish it. A bird "spotted" me and by the time I found it the finish was bad in that spot. Other than that I've had it for two years and lookin' good!
