alternator wiring
i have a 77 F150 and i am geting no charging power out of the alternator, the alternator is good had it tested( puts out 14v), new volt reg, good fuse link, and just finished rewiring it and still nothing........................HELP

Do you have the field wire from alternator properly connected to voltage regulator. I returned an alternator and later discovered that unless you do you won't see 14V on the wire going to the battery circuit. They said it tested good; I said it don't work.
