I was just on scales at the county dump, in my 66 F100, 352/C6, full of gas and me about 240. I also had 4 Ford chrome wheels in the bed, that I had just disposed of the tires from.
Damn that was a good guess (previous reply) and I know zip about 4 x 4's. On a 68 CS with 3 tanks full (56 gallons), spare tire, thin diamond top rear bumper, 410, C-6, AC, power steering and my 200# butt, 4,860 pounds. To play with Mustangs I would need 600 plus HP to be equal in power to weight, "wish only can do".
I have a 67' camper special. I just had it weighted because the DMV would not issue me a title...they said it was too old and we don't have a weight on record...whatever. Anyway, I took it to the saw mill and it weighed in a 4,440.75 lbs with a gallon or two of gas in it.
