Sounds about right.

The last Dodge mutt that messed with me tailgated me terrible for several miles-even blew his horn and made a gesture when I slowed down to let another car make a turn. The road went to two-lanes near a stop light and he jerks over in the other lane then whips up beside me like he's going to jump on it when it turns green. He was in a Ram 2500 Hemi 4x4.

But I guess he saw the "V10" on the fender and chickened out, cause when the light turned green he just pulled back n behind me, no more tailgating, and turned off a few miles later. Idiot...guess he thought I was in a diesel or 5.4L. Good thing for him too-I'm not much a racer but I was sick enough of him that I was sure as s*** going to roast him and his POS catfish-mouthed Ram.

Everybody in those newer Rams has an attitude problem and I'm begining to think it doens't matter if it's a Hemi or not!

I do find the Hemi pretty funny. BOASTING about 16 sec. 1/4's. HAHAHA.

It's not a bad truck. it's just the attitude of the owners. "Yeah, it's got a Hemi". I can't help but laugh everytime I see this sticker in traffic.

Mountainhound,

That is so funny, the EXACT same thing happened to me yesterday (okay, my guy didn't honk). I goosed it at the light and was across the intersection before his tailgate crossed the stop line.

You know this motor still astounds me (and a GTO, a WRX, and a G35) with it's off the line gitty-up. I guess normal aspiration and GOBS of torque are hard to beat over 100 feet!

What amazes me about my V10 is the back axle still weighs 3200 pounds, That is more than a lot of cars weigh. The V10 with 4.10 gears and those tall 18 wheels will break loose the tires so easy I still have trouble taking off without a chirp even when I'm careful
and my LS works pretty well.

When you weigh your truck on a proper weigh scale you weigh each axle. You add the axle weights to get your total weight. In the province of BC they leave the scales on even when the station is closed so on Sat I weighed my truck. My rear axle was 3200 pounds and my front axle was 4400 pounds. I was within 20 pounds of these weights so just rounded them off so the total weight of my truck with me in it was 7600 pounds and I only had a half a tank so I am well over 7700 pounds full. What I meant is the rear tires have 3200 pounds of weight on them for traction. Some rear wheel cars did not put half that weight on their rear wheels and would not spin the tires as easy. Hope this makes sense, Take care, Wrench.

falling behind here, family problems. vw makes cars all over and few are true german.the passat. jetta s/w, are all we get here from germany. the golf here comes from brazil. the jetta sedan and bettle from mexico. the big 90 grand one and the suv from slavakia.
german labor is high costs and they cut it by building else where.
