I just bought another 92 F150 with the I-6 and the E4od tranny (missed the old one after a month and decided to buy this one). When I cruise between 25-40 it seems to have a hesitation and buck a little. If I give it gas or let off the gas it goes away. It only does it when I maintain a constant speed and it doesn't do it at any other speeds. The tranny is shifting fine, doesn't seem to matter if I put it in 2nd or in drive.
Any thoughts on what could be causing this???
P.S. The guy I bought it from says the cat has been hollowed out if that could be a problem, and he said it never seemed to do it before he hollowed out the cat.
OK, I talked to the neighbor and he thinks it is the transfer case chain. You can feel the play in the drive shaft, but the u-joints are good. Anybody else have any thoughts
