I searched the forums but couldn't find an answer so..........I ordered a bed Extender from Ford for my 2005 F150. It showed up but without any installation instructions. I called my local Ford dealership, said I would have to bring it in for install and pay........does anyone have the installation instructions for this? Thanks in advance.
Hopefully 2 special bolts were included with the extender- you need to install them in the bed near the tailgate- they just screw in . The instuctions on how to remove and install the bed extender are in the owner's manual.
My suggestion: Go to your dealer's lot with a tape measure, measure the height and diameter of the three holes on each side of the box on a factory-installed extender, then go home and install yours the same way -- not much more to it than that.
There are 3 holes on each side the middle one is the threaded hole- the hole above it and the one below it should have plastic bushings for the bed-extender pins

I just got an extender for the dealer with a bag of hardware. I guessing from the number of pieces that the extender fits multiple applications. The bag contained the 4 bushings and the two post/bolts but also included two nuts and an additional post/bolt that was much thinner but longer than the others.
