New mods complete

Just got a bunch of stuff done on the truck last week (See sig.). What a difference! I can definitely feel some more power in the seat of the pants and I love to hear that turbo whistle. The flutter was a little annoying at first, but I've gotten used to it. Got the work done by Bean's Diesel performance in TN. He does great work and charges a fair price. Mileage now is around 17 in the city and 21.2 on the freeway. Next will be an Edge Evolution tuner and a shift kit or whole new valve body.

Got to ask!!!! I have a 97 F250 PSD. How big of a difference with the downpipe and exhaust? Already have the Tymar intake, that helped a lot. What's your emission laws down there? Here in California I have to have the muffler and cat, but several exhaust shops around here "forget" to put the cat back on when you ask them to....wink, wink.

Thanks!

Tough to say how much of a difference the DP and new exhaust have made to my truck. I had the Tymar, DP and exhaust all done at the same time. Like I said, I do feel a little difference in power, especially above 2K RPMs. I have seen a significant increase in mileage, which is nice, especially with the price of diesel here ($2.09(do I have any right to complain? lol)) I see these basic mods as a stepping stone to a tuner or a chip, tranny mods, or perhaps upgraded fuel injectors. The truck doesn't seem to be louder than it was, which is fine with me, just a little bit of turbo flutter and a deeper tone. We don't have any emissions testing here in IN, so I didn't feel any risk in deleting the CAT. From what i understand, deleting the CAT and a new aftermarket downpipe significantly reduce EGTs, which will help in towing. Good luck, and definetly get the new DP!

Thanks for the info. I already have the Tymar intake on mine and I just had my transmission completely redone with all the factory upgrades. Exhaust is next for sure, then guages. I'm not in to hot rodding so I'm 50/50 on the chip or tuner. I'm more concerned with towing. Hearing gas mileage increase is good. Diesel is $2.59 here in northern California. Be happy with $2.09!

Thanks again!
