A friend gave me a mower last year that wouldnt move but ran. i fixed it for less than a $1. it a Yazoo mower, i like it a lot and dont know much about them, except the little on their website. i was wondering if anyone has one, and if anyone does where are you at. all i know is that this came from my friends dad who live in Rode Island. Nobody around here has ever heard of them. i'm looking for new blades for it, and no one has them or close to them
I remember about 8 years ago when I was 11 and mowing my uncles farm on an old yazoo mower he picked up cheap. That thing was awesome, I loved how you sat over the pivot wheel.
No idea on where to get parts, but that thing would cut anything.
I used to have simular problems finding blades for no name or discontinued mowers. If you can find a good mower supply store like Western Auto was, that carries many different blades, I'll bet you can find a blade that matches the ones you need. The Western Auto here is not W/A anymore but is still independently owned by the same guys and carry just about anything for mowers. They have bins of blades. I just match up to the one I need.
I live in NC, a friend of mine has one, if you still can't find the blades let me know and I'll ask him if he knows where to get them. What is wrong with yours, can they just be shapened?
The Yazoo was originally made in Yazoo, Mississippi. When i was a kid down there eveyone had one. They had big wheels in the back. Simple & easy to work on.
